|View Pastor Jon's Bio|
Jon Morris has been a follower of Jesus his whole life. His journey hasn’t always been on the straight and narrow, but as the son of Pastors, now missionaries, his spiritual inheritance was a rich one. He went to Elim Bible Institute in upstate NY, but received his B.S. in Industrial Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. It was from there that his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer began.
Jon served as a US Army Sergeant, deploying to the Middle East in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom after 9/11, but it was when he surrendered his hopes and dreams to God that God brought him the love of his life, Ericka, and called him to Vocational Ministry. This brought him to Texas… yes God is redeeming this Yankee! He wrote his first worship song at age 4, but together Ericka and Jon have dedicated their lives to teaching, mentoring, and leading worship. Most recently they became the proud parents of their first child, Nathaniel.
